Council Channel Shift For An Improved Public Service

Everyday Telford aims to make it quick and easy to report the things that are important to you, whenever and wherever you are.

No hanging on the telephone, no waiting for offices to open, simply follow the instructions and send it through and let us do the rest. You can even take a photo of the issue and use your phone’s GPS to store the location so we can find it easily.

And you don’t have to use your mobile data connection there and then – simply save it in your phone until Wifi is available, so it won’t cost you a penny.

Need to report an issue to your council?

Now you can use your personal smartphone to communicate issues which require the attention of the local authority.

Telford & Wrekin Council, one of the fastest growing local authority boroughs in the UK, has partnered with Bronze Software Labs Ltd to help in a major strategic push for greater council agility. Council agility is the ability to take advantage of channel shifting, greater operational efficiency and improved public engagement at a speed that keeps up with fast-changing consumer habits and technology whilst being in-line with the challenging current government savings targets.

For at least a decade, mobile technology has been evolving at a pace that councils are hard-pressed to keep up with and because consumer preferences are moving just as quickly, councils have to adapt and become more agile.

Telford & Wrekin Council has been working with our team to streamline and automate internal operations, making its brick and mortar service more efficient, accessible and responsive to changes in demand. Telford & Wrekin Council is making investments in building its digital presence, and Bronze Labs has now delivered the first results in that part of the partnership — a mobile application to enable members of the public to register and create live tasks for the attention of council services.

Bronze Labs built the cross-mobile application for iPhone, Android and Windows Mobile devices — along with a set of reusable back-end enterprise system services for content management, customer accounts and real-time seamless integration with the councils Microsoft Dynamics CRM data management systems.

Bronze Labs delivered everything, on time, in just fifteen weeks; enabling Telford & Wrekin to keep a strategic commitment to launch a new digital channel in time for the winter period. With the new service layer and the internal knowledge gained from the initial deployment, the authority can launch additional data driven services with confidence and speed. Council digital agility, achieved!

Effective Use of Council Resources

The app is now available through the App Store for iPhone and will be available on Android later this year.

So if you want to report missed bin collections, tree and undergrowth issues, street cleaning and littering, fly tipping, streetlights, roads, paths and verges, drainage and flooding, street furniture, abandoned vehicles and graffiti – there’s an app for that!

Simply download Everyday Telford to your phone, report things as you see them in just a few clicks and then use the app to monitor our progress and make sure the issue is resolved.

Make the app part of your day, every day and help us to make improvements in your local area.
